Meet the Editors: Stephanie Rogers

Stephanie Rogers

Fiction & Prose Editor

Stephanie Rogers won her first writing award at the age of eleven for an essay on Texas.  This was also her first publication.

After graduating from The University of Dallas, Stephanie picked out a living as an actress, singer, voice-over artist, and writer. During those years, her short stories and poems were published in various Regional Lit Journals and her performance pieces were staged or used in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Louisville, Houston, and Dallas.

After fifteen years of silence, Stephanie began writing again in 2007. Since then, her writing blog, The Cassandra Chronicles, has been nominated for a Webby Award (2008), her prose has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize (2008) and her commentary has been honoured (Ploughshares, 2011).

Stephanie’s poetry has won numerous awards, culminating in the 2010 Poetry Award in Grace Notes Books' Discovering the Undiscovered Competition which resulted in the publication of her first poetry collection, Toms, in October 2011.

Since winning the competition and developing a relationship with The Grace Notes Foundation, Stephanie has become Prose Editor for Notes Magazine. She is also a Grief Counselor and currently working on a collection of stories about her work in Hospice.
